New! Website Building for Common App Arts Supplement

Website Building for Common Application Arts Supplement

Many colleges using the Common Application offer an Arts Supplement for applicants who want to showcase their talents in the performing or visual arts https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/DownloadForms.aspx

We can help you:

Graduate Student Looking to the Future • Dramatize your unique positioning
  by showcasing your special talents

• Create a place to mount your
performing or visual arts resume that
allows you to "own the narrative"

• Make it easy for admissions officers
to view your performances or portfolio
  via the Internet

Each school’s requirements for majors are very specific. This website would not replace in-person auditions required for performing arts majors. It is intended for applicants who want to show how they could contribute to the college community by participating in music, dance or theatre extra-curricular activities. For visual art majors, it could serve as the portfolio (check with the school); for non-majors, it could display an applicant’s creativity in art or photography.

Student playing the violinIf you are using the Arts Supplement, you can showcase your talents via CD or DVD if you are applying via a paper application. If using the online application, you are asked to supply a website URL. In both cases, you can provide an arts resume and recommendations from directors or instructors.

I am now offering to build and host an iWeb website for students for $250. The applicant needs only to provide CD’s or DVD’s of performances. This can be a public or private site, which admissions personnel can access with a passcode.

I have built websites for several students during this admissions cycle, and responses have been enthusiastic! Contact Kris Hintz at 973-425-0648 or krishintz@positionu4college.com.
